Cedar's natural oils make it the most rot-resistant softwood available without chemical treatment — exactly what you want for an Oregon fence that lives in eight months of rain a year. Every cedar fence is built on 4×4 (or 6×6 for tall runs) posts set 30+ inches deep in concrete, with pressure-treated lower rails for ground contact and stainless or galvanized fasteners that won't bleed rust streaks down your pickets.

Every Above All gate gets self-closing hinges sized for the leaf weight, a frame welded or thru-bolted at the corners, and a diagonal compression brace that prevents the classic "gate sag" you see on every cheap fence in the metro. We build gates to match the fence line they live in — picket gates, privacy gates, ranch-style gates, and ornamental-iron pedestrian gates — and we can add keypad, latch-lock, or pool-code self-latching hardware where you need it.

Ornamental Iron, Chain Link & Hog Wire

For commercial properties, dog runs, pool enclosures, and homeowners who want the wide-open look of a hog wire fence with cedar posts, we build the alternatives too. Ornamental iron fences are powder-coated for the Oregon climate — available in spear-top, scroll-top, and flat-top designs, with matching iron gates for the driveway. Chain link is the budget-friendly fence option that we install with top rail and tension wire for pet enclosures, ball fields, and large rural lots; we also offer black vinyl-coated chain link that nearly disappears against a tree line. Hog wire panels framed inside cedar are one of the most-requested modern fence styles in Tigard and Beaverton — affordable, see-through, and pet-safe, with a clean farmhouse-modern look that pairs perfectly with a horizontal cedar gate.

Vinyl (PVC) Fences That Look Like Painted Wood

Vinyl fences have come a long way. Today's PVC fence panels look like freshly-painted cedar from ten feet away, never need staining or sealing, and carry transferrable lifetime warranties from manufacturers like CertainTeed and Bufftech. We install vinyl privacy fences, picket fences, semi-private fences, and pool-code fences in white, tan, and woodgrain finishes. For homeowners who want a "set it and forget it" fence, vinyl is hard to beat — and because it never needs refinishing, it's often the lowest-cost fence over a 20-year horizon even though the up-front price is higher than cedar.

Arbors, Trellises & Pergolas — The Garden Side of Fence Work

An arbor is the most photographed part of any garden, and a trellis is what turns a plain fence line into a feature. We build cedar arbors over walk gates, freestanding garden arbors, climbing-rose trellises, kitchen-garden trellis systems, and full pergolas attached to deck railings. Every arbor and trellis we build uses the same Western Red Cedar and stainless hardware as our fence work, so the whole yard ages to the same silver-gray patina together. Every project starts with a free on-site estimate — we measure the run, check the terrain and property lines, talk through style and gate placement, and leave you with a written scope of work and a full materials list. There's no high-pressure sales pitch and no "today-only" pricing games. Once you approve the scope, we handle the call-before-you-dig utility locate, set a build date, and assign an owner-supervised crew. Most residential fences are built in one to three days. When we're done, your project is covered by our workmanship warranty in addition to any manufacturer warranty on vinyl or iron.
